Participating in Governance

Governance is a crucial aspect of the Sunflower ecosystem, enabling token holders to influence the platform's direction and key decisions. By participating in governance, you help shape the future of Sunflower and ensure the network remains decentralized and community-driven.

Governance Features:

  • Proposal Creation:

    • Any SFT holder can create proposals for new features, parameter changes, or strategic initiatives.

  • Voting Mechanism:

    • Token holders vote on proposals using their SFT tokens.

    • Voting power is proportional to the number of tokens staked.

  • Decision Implementation:

    • Approved proposals are automatically executed by smart contracts.

    • Major changes require consensus and community approval.

How to Participate:

  1. Access Governance:

    • Navigate to the “Governance” section on the Dashboard.

  2. Browse Proposals:

    • Review active and past proposals.

    • Understand the details, implications, and voting status of each proposal.

  3. Create a Proposal:

    • Click on “Create Proposal”.

    • Fill in the proposal details, including title, description, and desired changes.

    • Submit the proposal for community review and voting.

  4. Vote on Proposals:

    • Select a proposal you wish to support or oppose.

    • Use your staked SFT tokens to cast your vote.

    • Confirm your vote to participate in the decision-making process.

  5. Monitor Voting Results:

    • Track the progress and outcome of proposals.

    • Approved proposals are implemented by the system, affecting the network accordingly.

Best Practices:

  • Stay Informed:

    • Regularly check the governance section for new proposals and updates.

  • Engage Actively:

    • Participate in discussions and provide feedback on proposals.

  • Vote Responsibly:

    • Use your voting power wisely to support initiatives that benefit the entire ecosystem.
