L1 Settlement Layer (Optional)

Functionality:

  • Final Settlement: Conducts cross-chain transactions and settlements on a primary blockchain (Layer 1).

  • Enhanced Security: Provides an additional layer of security and decentralization by leveraging a robust blockchain.

  • Data Immutability: Ensures that all transactions are permanently recorded and tamper-proof.

Workflow:

  1. Receive Settlement Data: Receives aggregated settlement data from the Sunflower Data Ledger.

  2. Execute Transactions: Processes cross-chain transactions and finalizes settlements on the Layer 1 blockchain.

  3. Record Transactions: Stores finalized transactions as immutable records on the primary blockchain.
