Setting up a Node

  1. Download and Install the Client:

    • Ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest Sunflower client as per the Installation Guide.

  2. Launch the Client and Log In:

    • Open the Sunflower client and log in with your account credentials.

  3. Configure Your Node:

    • Bandwidth Allocation:

      • Navigate to the “Settings” tab.

      • Set the maximum bandwidth you are willing to share (e.g., 10 Mbps upload, 20 Mbps download).

    • Operating Hours:

      • Choose the times you want your node to be active (e.g., always on or specific hours).

    • Auto-Adjust Settings:

      • Enable automatic bandwidth adjustment based on network conditions if desired.

  4. Start Your Node:

    • Click on the “Start Node” button to activate your bandwidth contribution.

    • The client will begin sharing your allocated bandwidth with the network.

  5. Monitor Node Performance:

    • Use the “Dashboard” to monitor your node’s performance, including uptime, bandwidth usage, and earnings.
